I occasionally host special walks for my regulars.
These events are as much about the social event as the walk. To get tickets for these walks, you have to be on the mailing list and already been on other Derelict London/Lost River walks.

The Tower Hamlets specials
The Tower Hamlets Special: A walk/social with Paul Talling with an after walk pub buffet in Poplar.
The walk takes in parts of Bromley-by-Bow not covered on the Bow Creek walk such the site of a Benedictine nunnery founded in the time of William the Conqueror and a wander around the remains of a graveyard on its site, the site of a palace built for James I, the hotel where the Russian Novichok poisoners stayed in 2018, Kingsley Hall famous for the visit of Mahatma Gandhi, the last remains of the former Bow Station and a Civic Hall where The Jam played a Queens Silver Jubilee gig plus we see and talk about many dead pubs, and various bits of dereliction along the way.
The walks last approx 4 hours, ending at a 1951 Festival of Britain built pub in Poplar where we shall have a buffet waiting for us. The cost of the buffet is included in this ticket price. The pub serves reasonably priced drinks (for London these days). It's a cash only pub. It is highly likely that after the buffet pub we will move on to one or two other interesting pubs in the area.
Tip: Before this walk, start the day with a fry up at the nearby Devons Cafe, 113 Devons Rd,E3 3QX (8 mins walk from Bromley By Bow Tube and a 2 mins walk from DLR)
