I occasionally host special walks for my regulars. Over the last few years there have been short walks to celebrate my birthday along with a few drnks which have included the route of lost ditches from the Thames Embankment to Covent Garden, the route of the former Cumberland Arm of the Regents Canal and for 2015 we walked the route of an old railway line from Finsbury Park to Highgate.  On bank holiday weekends I often host a walk/social around East London  ending up with a pub buffet and head onto drag act cabaret in a friendly boozer.

Theses events are as much about the social event as the walk. To get tickets for these walks you have to be on the mailing list and already been on other Derelict London/Lost River walks.

By popular demand. For the regulars of the Derelict London walks. A special bank holiday weekend walk/social with Paul Talling featuring a different walk plus a pub buffet in Poplar maybe ending up with some drag act cabaret over at the Old Ship in Limehouse.

The walk takes in parts of Bromley-by-Bow (historically and officially Bromley) not covered in previous walks such the site of a Benedictine nunnery founded in the time of William the Conqueror and a wander around the hidden overgrown remains of a graveyard on it's site, Kingsley Hall famous for the visit of Mahatma Gandhi, the site of a palace built for James I, Three Mills Island which has the largest tidal mill in the world plus we see some dead pubs, salvage yards and various bits of dereliction plus a pub stop along the way.

Before the walk I recommend Devon's Cafe, 113 Devons Rd,E3 3QX (3 min walk from DLR)

The walks start at Devons Road DLR station and lasts approx 3 hours ending at a Festival of Britain pub in Poplar where we shall have a wonderful buffet waiting for us. Afterwards we may walk to another local pub walk (or bus, if it rains) & maybe make it over to Limehouse and end up at the Old Ship for the cabaret which starts at 9:30 pm. Free admission and drinks at decent pub prices. The acts are not always so decent though & the easily offended might not wish to attend!
