I occasionally host special walks for my regulars. Over the last few years there have been short walks to celebrate my birthday along with a few drnks which have included the route of lost ditches from the Thames Embankment to Covent Garden, the route of the former Cumberland Arm of the Regents Canal and for 2015 we walked the route of an old railway line from Finsbury Park to Highgate. On a bank holiday weekend I often host a Sunday walk/social around East London ending up with a pub buffet and drag act cabaret.
Theses events are as much about the social event as the walk. To get tickets for these walks you have to be on the mailing list and already been on other Derelict London/Lost River walks.

By popular demand. For the regulars of the Derelict London walks. A special bank holiday weekend walk/social with Paul Talling featuring a brand new walk plus a pub buffet in Poplar and ending up with some drag act cabaret over at the Old Ship in Limehouse.
The walk takes in parts of Bromley-by-Bow (historically and officially Bromley) not covered in previous walks such the site of a Benedictine nunnery founded in the time of William the Conqueror and a wander around the hidden overgrown remains of a graveyard on its site, Kingsley Hall famous for the visit of Mahatma Gandhi, the site of a palace built for James I, Three Mills Island which has the largest tidal mill in the world plus we see some dead pubs, salvage yards and various bits of dereliction along the way.
The walks start at Bromley-by-Bow tube station at 1:30 pm and lasts approx 3 hours ending at a Festival of Britain pub in Poplar where we shall have a wonderful buffet (inc hot soup!) waiting for us. Please pay £5 a head on the day. Afterwards we walk (or bus, if it rains) to Limehouse via another pub en route and end up at the Old Ship for the cabaret which starts at 9pm. Free admission and drinks at decent pub prices. The acts are not always so decent though & the easily offended might not wish to attend!
By purchasing a ticket for this walk you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:
• You must pay an extra £5 on the day for the prearranged buffet.
• Although public liability insurance is held the organiser shall not be held responsible for accidents, injury, loss or damage to persons or property as a consequence of participation in Paul Talling's walks.Ticket holders are responsible for their own safety while taking part in a walk.
